Kadhai Chicken

(A TOMATO BASED CHICKEN DELICACY)

INGREDIENTS:

1-CHICKEN          800gm

2-CORIANDER LEAVES (CHOPPED)  1.5tbs

3-CAPCICUM (THIN STRIPS)   1(big)

4-ONIONS (SLICED)     2small

5-GARAM MASALA       2tsp

 

6-GINGER&GARLIC PASTE   1.5tbs

7-KASOORI METHI   1tsp

8-GREEN CHILLIES    5

9-RED CHILLY (W)  – 6(broken)

10-TOMATO (CHOPPED) – 750gm

11-OIL     -  2tbs

12-CORIANDER SEEDS- 2tsp

13-SALT -to taste

METHOD:

1-Clean &cut the chicken.

2-Boil tomato with ginger garlic paste  ,green chilly ,half the   coriander leaves for 30 minutes with salt.

3-Remove it from the fire , grind it to a smooth paste ,strain it through muslin cloth.

4Heat oil ,add coriander seeds ,broken red chilly , onions & capcicum

5-Saute it for few minutes , remove half of the masala for garnish.

6-Add tomato paste , add chicken pieces &cook it on medium flame , till the gravy thicken &the chicken is tender.

7-Sprinckle garam masala  , kasoori  methi just before removing from the fire &mix well.

8-Garnish with chopped coriander and remaing onion & capcicum masala.
