[It is a Bengali sweet; preparation is very easy and less time taking]
Preparation time—10minutes Cooking time—25 minutes
- Paneer [cottage cheese] 500gms
- Sugar 500gms
- Cardamom powder [optional] a large pinch
- Rose essence 8-10 drops
- Water 300ml
1-Cut paneer into small cubes,
2-Now make sugar syrup by mixing sugar and water in a kadhai, over medium heat, cooks it for couple of minutes. Add cardamom powder and rose water, mix well.
3-Add paneer pieces, stirring continuously till the syrup is almost thickens
Remove it from the fire and pour the mixture into a flat small tray ,stir constantly till it cool to room temperature and paneer pieces gets properly coated with sugar,chena murki is ready.
