1-Full cream milk                                                                  1lire

2-Rice                                                                                           ½ cup

3-Cardamom [green] powder                                       1tsp

4-Saffron                                                                                  a pinch

5-Sugar                                                                                       2/3 cup

6-Vetivier [kewda]                                                                few drops

7-Mixed dry nuts [sliced]                                                 2tbs


1-Wash the rice twice and soak for 45 minutes.

2-Drain the rice and make a fine paste in a blender using a little water.

3-Soak the saffron in half cup of warm water and keep aside.

4-Heat milk in a thick bottom pan. Once it boils, remove from the heat and mix in the rice paste. Whisk continuously to prevent lumps.

5-Return to heat and simmer for about 4-5 minutes.

6-Add sugar and continue cooking for couple of minutes.

7-Add the cardamom powder, kewda and saffron and stir it well.

8-Pour into serving bowl and keep in the refrigerator to Chill.

9-Serve chilled garnished with dry nuts.
