1-Full fat milk                                                                          600gms

2-White bread slices                                                           5-6

3-Sugar                                                                                     ¾ cup

4-Khoya                                                                                     100 gms

5-Green cardamom powder                                          ½ tsp

6-Mix dry fruits, sliced                                                       2tbs

7-Saffron [optional]                                                           a pinch

8-Oil                                                                                            to fry


1-Cut the outer crust of the bread slices and then cut them into triangles.

2-Heat oil in a kadhai, fry the bread slices till golden brown in color, then remove and arrange in a plate or serving tray.

3-Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan, add sugar and simmer till sugar melt. Mix in cardamom powder.

4-Take out one cup of milk and evenly pours over the bread slices with the help of tablespoon.

5-Add khoya and saffron to the milk, mix well and cook for another 2-3minutes.This mixture is known as rabadi.

6-Remove from the fire, Pour the rabadi over the bread slices, cover them evenly.

7-Refrigerate for at least one hour, serve chilled with dry fruits.

[Instead of using khoya you can use milkmaid, but in that case kindly reduce the sugar to ½ cup]
